María is an award-winning educator, coach and international speaker who has provided one-on-one sessions, seminars, workshops and professional development on conscious leadership, building relationships, social-emotional wellness and safe environments to hundreds of educators and individuals around the world. She often participates in conferences and congresses, leading groups and individuals on conversations about the importance of building relationships to be a successful leader, prioritizing the relationship with ourselves.

She is a United Nations Global Goals Ambassador for Quality Education and during her service as United Nations Women USA board member and Director of Events, she has been leading community-driven efforts to provide spaces and opportunities to support women and girls internationally through local advocacy, education and fundraising.

 

María specializes on psychological safety and self-knowledge as the key elements to conscious leadership. She leads in-person and online social-emotional teacher wellness and women-empowerment retreats, including mindfulness, breathwork, meditation, creating writing and personal growth tools and techniques.
